Downtown LA Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District Study

The City was awarded a $370,000 planning grant from Metro in 2018 to study the feasibility of establishing an Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD) for Downtown Los Angeles. EIFDs are tax increment financing (TIF) tools authorized by the State legislature in 2015 in the absence of Community Redevelopment Agencies. The Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) is charged with overseeing EIFDs and is in the process of kicking off the feasibility study for Downtown. Join us to learn more about the potential for a Downtown EIFD.
