Metro Transit Ambassador Pilot Program
Metro is piloting a Transit Ambassador Program to provide dedicated in-person staff to support Metro bus and rail riders. The program seeks to employ up to 300 transit ambassadors who will be providing customer service and rail and bus safety. The program is intended to be an added layer of public safety for the transit network. Join us to learn more about the initiative and its implementation.

October 2021 Audio Recording of LA City Councilmembers
The LA Times published an article on Sunday, October 9 about a recorded conversation that former Council President Nury Martinez, Councilmembers Kevin De León and Gil Cedillo and former President of the LA County Federation of Labor Ron Herrera had in October 2021. CCA, along with many other elected and community leaders, have condemned the racist, discriminatory and divisive conversation and called for involved parties’ resignations. The situation continues to evolve as the LA City Council explores governance reforms and other responses. Join us for an overview of the issue and background on potential next steps.
