Metro’s Public Safety Vision with Chief William “Bill” Scott
Chief William “Bill” Scott was appointed in May 2025 as Metro’s first Chief of Police and Emergency Management. He brings over 35 years of law enforcement experience, including 27 years with the Los Angeles Police Department and eight years as San Francisco’s Chief of Police. As the leader of Metro’s new Transit Community Public Safety Department (TCPSD), Chief Scott will be responsible for designing the department’s structure from scratch to effectively unify and oversee Metro’s safety operations under a single entity.
Join to hear from Chief Scott about his vision and priorities for the TCPSD, and his strategy to lead Metro’s public safety efforts in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games.
