LOS ANGELES (November 6, 2019) -- Today, the Central City Association (CCA) and BizFed Political Action Committees announced their endorsement of Kevin de León for City of Los Angeles, Council District 14. Both committees agree that de León is the most viable and job-friendly candidate to represent this district which includes Downtown Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, El Sereno and Northeast Los Angeles.
"The CCA PAC believes Kevin de León is the best candidate to represent the civic, cultural and economic heart of Los Angeles," said Edgar Khalatian, Partner at Mayer Brown LLP and Co-Chair of CCA PAC. "CCA commissioned a poll with Loyola Marymount University, hosted a candidate forum and held multiple interviews to understand the strength and positions of the candidates. It is clear that de León will be a strong voice on the City Council to represent the growing residential population and businesses in Downtown Los Angeles and will fight for a united Downtown."
"Kevin de León is a leader and the candidate BizFed PAC believes can best address the significant economic development needs of the 14th District. He has experience in dealing with the most critical issues facing business in Los Angeles, and our business leaders look forward to partnering with Kevin de León to bring opportunities and tackle the big issues facing our community," said Tracy Hernandez, President & CEO of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed) and Principal Officer of the BizFed PAC.
