In this time of working remotely and social distancing, we are figuring out creative ways to closely communicate with all of you and ensure you get the same level of benefit from your membership. Our team is set up to smoothly work from home and be in contact with all our members, government partners and other stakeholders. We are not slowing down on our advocacy work and ensuring that we continue to advocate for a vibrant DTLA and Los Angeles. Here's what we have in the works:

  • Member Development Projects: We wanted to create a way to highlight our member development projects in the last few years and showcase the benefits that they bring to the community. We created a map where we highlight development members and their work. This builds off a project we completed a couple years ago when we published a Development Yearbook. This was a report with projects that changed the DTLA landscape from 2012-2017. We wanted to make that more useable and easier to update real-time. Launched: Click here.
  • DTLA's Contribution to LA's Economy Report: We released a report by Beacon Economics that details how much DTLA has contributed to the city's economy from 1999 to 2019. It discusses DTLA's outsized role in the region's economy as it has rapidly transformed over the past two decades. This provides a hopeful look on the future by showing how resilient and strong DTLA is even through hard economic times. Launched: Click here.
  • Education White Paper: Our next white paper is on expanding opportunities for schools and childcare in DTLA and how to grow our neighborhoods into complete communities. This includes a set of policy recommendations on how to best do this. White papers are a way for us to develop and disseminate research and to promote innovative policy ideas. Launch Date: Mid-May
  • DTLA 2040 Neighborhood Profiles: Each week, we have been highlighting an area with distinct zoning characteristics contained in DTLA 2040, which is the community plan for Downtown that will establish the blueprint for new development for the next 20 years. DTLA 2040 is currently underway and City Planning's next project milestone is the release of the Draft EIR, expected in spring 2020. Released weekly, click here for published profiles.
