LOS ANGELES (January 16, 2025) –Today, Central City Association (CCA) announced a new Board Chair and Board Members.
“Los Angeles is on a journey to recovery and resiliency,” said Nella McOsker, President & CEO of CCA. “That starts with having adequate housing supply, strong infrastructure and robust businesses. CCA has been at the forefront of these issues for decades and I look forward to continuing this work in partnership with the Board of Directors.”
Following the end of a two-year tenure for outgoing CCA Board Chair and Partner at the Mayer Brown Law Firm Edgar Khalatian, development leader Clare De Briere will serve as the new CCA Board Chair.
“It’s been a tremendous honor to serve as Chair of the CCA Board of Directors as the organization marked 100 years of impactful advocacy, saw the DTLA 2040 Community Plan to the finish line and continued to innovate on Adaptive Reuse,” said Edgar Khalatian, outgoing CCA Board Chair and Partner at the Mayer Brown Law Firm. “As CCA looks towards its legacy of the next 100 years, it will be well-served by Clare De Briere’s demonstrated proficiency in the development space.”
Clare De Briere, Founding Partner at Catalyst Property Company, has spent her career creating special places for Angelenos and visitors to Los Angeles. She has overseen the acquisition, entitlement, planning, development and disposition of millions of square feet. Her appointment as Board Chair comes at a time when the region is preparing to rebuild from the catastrophic wildfires this month. Additionally, DTLA and the region are primed for growth following the passage of the DTLA 2040 Community Plan and the Citywide Housing Incentive Program Ordinance.

The Board of Directors is responsible for advancing CCA’s mission of enhancing DTLA vibrancy and investment in the region through governance and oversight.
