Treasures of Los Angeles

The City's most distinguished event, Treasures of Los Angeles, was created by CCA 23 years ago to celebrate the diversity, strength, and excellence within the City of Los Angeles. The event recognizes Angelenos who have made outstanding contributions in a variety of fields, including: arts and culture, business, media, science, community service, education, entertainment, fashion, and sports.  Each year, more than 1,400 of Los Angeles’ top business, elected and civic leaders attend to celebrate City heroes - known and unknown - who have contributed to the rich fabric of Los Angeles. Treasures of Los Angeles honors community leaders who have achieved greatness in their work – whether in science, sports, entertainment, or business.  These leaders bring originality, depth, and energy to the Los Angeles community through their passion and dedication. CCA has given past Treasures awards to such Los Angeles pioneers as: Eli Broad, Business Leader and Philanthropist; Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, scientist and entrepreneur, Hugh Hefner, Media Pioneer; Andy Garcia, Award-Winning Actor; Yang Ho Cho, International Business Titan; Magic Johnson, NBA leader and Urban Innovator; Vin Scully, Legendary Sportscaster; Ray Charles, Extraordinary Musician and Entertainer; and Rudolph Marcus, Nobel Laureate.

Participating in the annual Treasures of Los Angeles is a great way to acknowledge the work of the people and organizations making a difference in the Los Angeles community and is a positive way to support their continued efforts and to support the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles.
