Clara Karger is the Policy Manager for Central City Association (CCA). She supports the VP of Public Policy in shaping the policies that will support new development, the necessary infrastructure improvements and quality of life enhancements to promote Downtown Los Angeles.
Before CCA, Clara was a summer associate with the consulting firm High Lantern Group where she assisted with message development, issues management and evaluated potential thought leadership opportunities for clients.
Clara graduated from the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs in 2019. She traces her interest in public affairs to her previous roles with Teach For America and St. Louis Public Schools. She served as a classroom teacher for three years before implementing and managing a school-wide literacy intervention program.
Clara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from University of Missouri St. Louis.
